Your Role
Are you a proactive and driven Technician? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities? As a Technician at Total Equipment, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our clients receive the best products and support.
What You’ll Do
· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
· Conduct high-quality repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
· Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders, service reports, and equipment logs.
· Dispatch and receive equipment as needed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
· Work outdoors in various weather conditions, following all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Utilize Methodology 5’s principles for organizing workspaces and maintaining equipment efficiency.
· Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Stay updated on industry trends, equipment advancements, and safety regulations through training and professional development opportunities.
· Fulfill any other job-related duties/functions as assigned by the supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
· Tier 1: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with industrial/construction equipment.
· Tier 2: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working with industrial/construction equipment.
· Tier 3: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience working with industrial/construction equipment.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical grade or associate degree in mechanical or automotive technology preferred.
· Must provide own tools for the job, including basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
· Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
· Valid passport for potential travel requirements.
· Physical stamina and dexterity to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy equipment and performing tasks in confined spaces.
